Reconfirm arrangements to visit stations 24 - 72 hours before arrival. Visit arrangements must be made with the station by HF radio or satellite communication (Inmarsat);

The final decision has to be at the discretion of the Base Commander. Unscheduled visits are not accepted;

Once a provisional date and time are agreed the organizer is requested to provide the following additional information: name, port and country of registration of the ship; name of the expedition leader; name of the Captain of the ship; objectives of visit to station; number of visitors, including leaders; contact details at sea (including Inmarsat telephone, fax number, e-mail address, as well as HF radio call frequency);

The tour organizers ensure that visitors are aware of any conditions or restrictions established by the station;

Visitors are shown around Vernadsky station, in groups of a maximum of 30 people at any one time. Station tours last approximately 45-60 minutes per group;

All visitors must respect scientific research and privacy of station personnel. Within the station complex and surrounding area, visitors must stay together and comply with restrictions on their movements which Base Commander, not entry the station buildings unless specifically invited to do so;

All visitors must be complying with the provisions of the Antarctic Treaty system requirements.
