The Ukrainian Antarctic station carries out, beside scientific, also specific representation functions.

Annually from December till March (during a summer season) the Argentine islands archipelago where the Ukrainian station is situated, are visited few tens of Crouiseships and tourist yachts (with short-term visits). The Ukrainian scientists organize excursions about station and its scientific pavilions with modern native scientific equipment, which allows not only to continue the measurements at a qualitative level started by British, but also to realize own scientific projects.

In general, tourist visit to Vernadsky station have been very well managed, and nave been made with minimum disruption to station work schedules and logistical operations.
