Infrastructure
Academic Vernadsky Station consists of 12 constructions:
- main building,
- diesel-engine power station,
- one new and two old fuel tanks,
- construction material storage,
- joiner's shop,
- upper-air hut,
- emergency base,
- two geomagnetic huts,
- VLF-hut.

| Main building |
Basic laboratories (meteorological, biological, geomagnetic, ionospheric, ozonometric and seismological) servise rooms (base commander office, radio cabin, gym, warehouse), living space and auxiliary facilities located in the main building. Doctor at his disposal has a local "hospital" and laboratory equipped with all necessary devices and instruments (including X-ray apparatus).
Diesel-engine power station located near main building. Three diesel-engine generators Volvo-Penta D100B with capacity of 100 kW each provide Vernasky Station with electric power.

At the beginning of 2007 a new fuel tank with a capacity of 200 cubic meters was mounted and set in operation at Vernadsky Station. Old fuel tanks will be removed.
